Highlights of Membership:

 

Meetings:

 

BPQ meetings are generally held the first Thursday of each month from 7:00 to 9:00 pm in Sammamish, WA.  For the current month's meeting location please check the Programs page or the Members' Only page.  

 

A nominal fee is requested for non-members to attend meetings with a speaker (the fee is waived if you decide to join that evening).

 

The half hour from 6:30 to 7:00 is used for socializing, so please feel free to arrive early.

​

Workshops:

 

BPQ offers workshops throughout the year.  Members have an opportunity to sign up before the workshops are advertised outside the guild.

 

Retreats:

​

BPQ holds two retreats a year at Seabeck Conference Center on Hood Canal.  With all meals provided, participants are free to just enjoy themselves.  It is a great way to get to know one another better while working on projects, sharing ideas and relaxing.

 

Quilt Show:

 

Our annual quilt show is our signature contribution to our local quilting community.  All our members help put on this show which we hold each year (pending unforeseen circumstances) and admission is free for members.

 

Awards Banquet:

The December meeting is our annual awards ceremony and banquet - a time for celebration and fun!

​

Library:

​

BPQ members have access to a wonderful library collection.

​

Community Service:

​

Through the BPQ Charity team, members donate hundreds of quilts and pillowcases each year to Ronald McDonald House in Seattle, Evergreen Hospice, and KidVantage (formerly Eastside Baby Corner).

​

Small Groups:

​

In addition to the monthly meetings there are a number of small groups that meet regularly.  These groups provide additional opportunities for members to gather together with other people who love quilts and quilting.

 

 

There are many benefits of membership - perhaps the most important one is the opportunity to develop friendships with other quilters and quilt lovers.  At the general meetings and in optional small groups, you'll find friendly welcoming people who share a common interest with you.
