Join quilt designer Brooke of Eudaimonia Studio for an immersive journey that explores the profound connection between mindful making and modern design. This presentation is an invitation to see quilt-making as a practice of intention, where every choice, geometric shape, and composition carries deeper meaning.
As Brooke unveils over 20 of her original quilts, she will share the personal stories and philosophical inspirations woven into each one. You'll get a look behind the curtain of how ancient wisdom amd spiritual concepts like wu wei (the art of effortless flow) can inspire a quilt of sweeping curves, and how sharp angles come to symbolize the beauty in brokenness and healing. Through her quilts, you will discover the beauty of experimenting with color, incorporating modern shapes, and playing with scale.

The design reflects this concept with solid triangles representing genuineness paired with their untraditional HST counterparts that add levity and a playful aspect to the design.
Brooke will walk you through each step of constructing your own throw quilt top, including tips for the scant 1/4" seam. You'll be surprised how fun & simple it is to create this complex-looking design.

Make your own Wayfinder block to begin a full quilt or finish as a modern wall hanging. The Wayfinder blockrepresents the idea that, in a broad sense, we never really "arrive". we are always navigating and re-orienting ourselves toward new directions.
With that in mind, this extremely versatile design seeks to remind us to live in and appreciate each point on this long, winding path - not just the destination. Brooke will walk you through the construction of this unique, modern block. including tips for strip piecing and half square triangles.
