Have you seen those colorful totes that just vibrate with those whimsical icons, words, and colors?

Have you thought it a shame to cut off those selvedgesand never use them?  Here is a project to put those edges to use and make a very useful tote bag at the same time.

Start gathering selvedges now from all those projects that you are working on and set them aside for this fun and easy workshop.  It's important to get started early, especially if you want to collect a one-color wave or seek particular fabric designers.  

Selvedges should be 1.5" to 3.0" wide to retain any writing and color palette as well as some of the fabric itself.  Strips should be at least 6" or longer.
